One Little Indian have released an album of remixes for the critically acclaimed 2011 album "Biophilia". Das vorliegende Album enthält einige der Remixe aus der achtteiligen Singles-Serie, die Anfang dieses Jahres veröffentlicht wurde. Das komplette Album wurde vom Grammy-nominierten Produzenten Mandy Parnell komplett neu remastered und beinhaltet Collabos, Remakes und Remixe von Current Value, Death Grips, Hudson Mohawke, Alva Noto, Matthew Herbert, Omar Souleyman, 16-bit, These New Puritans und den Slips. Björk selbst arbeitete auch mit ihrem Tontechniker Curver Thoroddsen zusammen, um ein besonderes Teil des Remixes von Matthew Herbert "Sacrifice" auf 'Pins and Needles Mix' herauszupicken und das Ergebnis ist überwältigend. So ist ein unglaublich experimentierfreudiges, vielschichtiges Album entstanden, das den grandiosen Björk Songs völlig neue Dimensionen und Facetten verleiht. The album features some of the remixes released in an eight-part series earlier this year, remastered for this album by Grammy-nominated Mandy Parnell, and includes collaborations with Current Value, Death Grips, Hudson Mohawke, Alva Noto, Matthew Herbert, Omar Souleyman, 16-bit, These New Puritans and The Slips. Björk also worked with her sound engineer Curver Thoroddsen to isolate a specific chapter of Matthew Herbert's remix of "Sacrifice" on the album's Pins and Needles mix. The original Biophilia album was released in 2011 to a positive critical reception. The New York Times had this to say about it, "The new songs juxtapose the soaring textures of choir and organ with sparse pointillism and sudden bursts of breakbeat percussion, all against a backdrop of Björk's idiosyncratic melodies: pithy or drawn-out, stopping unexpectedly and then serpentine, rising and opening into banshee wailing."
