One Little Indian have released an album of remixes for the critically acclaimed 2011 album "Biophilia". Product information One Little Indian is about to release an album of remixed songs from Björk's critically acclaimed album Biophilia. The album features some of the remixes released in an eight-part series earlier this year, remastered for this album by Grammy-nominated Mandy Parnell, and includes collaborations with Current Value, Death Grips, Hudson Mohawke, Alva Noto, Matthew Herbert, Omar Souleyman, 16-bit, These New Puritans and The Slips. Björk also worked with her sound engineer Curver Thoroddsen to isolate a specific chapter of Matthew Herbert's remix of "Sacrifice" on the album's Pins and Needles mix. The original Biophilia album was released in 2011 to a positive critical reception. The New York Times had this to say about it, "The new songs juxtapose the soaring textures of choir and organ with sparse pointillism and sudden bursts of breakbeat percussion, all against a backdrop of Björk's idiosyncratic melodies: pithy or drawn-out, stopping unexpectedly and then serpentine, rising and opening into banshee wailing."
