He is the writer of many worldwide hits such as "Lean on Me", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Use Me", "Just the Two of Us", "Lovely Day" and "Grandma's Hands". He has won three Grammy Awards and been nominated for four more. His life was documented in the film "Still Bill". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. "Naked & Warm" is Bill's fifth album and sounds even funkier than his debut. It features musicians such as Larry "Fatback" Tolbert on drums, Dorothy Ashby (harp), Melvin Dunlap (bass) Benorce Blackmon (guitar) and Jerry Knight (bass). "Naked & Warm" is just laid back and smooth, just a classic Bill Withers album. "Withers returns here to the simple ways of his past, working with five or six musicians on a hard groove that has little parallel in black music today," writes music journalist Robert Christgau.
