The legendary BB King, widely recognized as the King of the Blues, ended his nearly seven-decade career on May 14, 2015 in Las Vegas. King, one of the most imitated blues greats, was extremely expressive on stage with both his singing and guitar playing. His musical influence around the world is still incalculable. This essential collector's edition features one of King's lesser-known gems from his most inspirational years, the great Mr. Blues. The Dozen Song LP was King's big break on the ABC Paramount label (following his tenure at the Bihari brothers' Modern/Kent Records). The content comes from three different recordings. This blues masterpiece, long unavailable on CD, has been remastered in this special edition, which also includes 12 bonus tracks from the same period. All of these wonderful songs are a solid and revelatory portrait of B's versatility. B. King and his rightful place in the blues pantheon.
