A STUNNING REISSUE OF THE THIRD BATHORYS ALBUM IN A LIMITED 180 GRAM GATEFOLD EDITION. Under the Sign of the Black Mark is Bathory's third album. It had a major influence on the black metal genre, specifically the Norwegian black metal scene that emerged in the early 90s. The song "Woman of Dark Desires" is a tribute to the band's namesake, Elizabeth Bathory, and has become one of the most recognized early songs. "Enter the Eternal Fire" was the band's first epic song, reaching a length of nearly seven minutes, and heralded the turn to what became known as Viking metal that Bathory would make on their next three albums.
