The album is undoubtedly one of the most multi-layered albums in the band's history. The instrumentalists around Scott Ian and Charlie Benante have pulled out all the stops, from aggressive thrash to melodic Americana rock. The biggest surprise, though, is definitely the evolution of Joey Belladonna, who not only simply sings against riff violence, but adds melodies that make each song maximally rewarding and memorable.
