Annie Lennox is the new addition to the Universal Music stable and their first project together was a special Christmas album called "A Christmas Cornucopia". The album will feature an extraordinary interpretation of the most beautiful Christmas carols, to which Annie's velvet voice has added a touch of perfection. As the singer herself recently said, recording this album was a great joy for her, as it was a wish fulfilled that she had been carrying in her head for many years. However, the Christmas album will also feature one brand new song that Annie Lennox composed especially for this record. It will be the song "Universal Child". "I've always wanted to make a timeless album that people will still love many years later. I will be very happy if 'A Christmas Cornucopia' is just such an album," the singer herself said about the new project.Let's recall that Annie Lennox is one of the most successful singers of the last decades. She has many successful solo albums to her credit, but her greatest success came in the 80s and 90s, when the whole world knew her as one half of the highly successful duo Eurythmics. She formed this with guitarist and then life partner Dave Stewart. To date, she has sold over eighty million albums and has four Grammy Awards, eleven Brit Awards and two Golden Globes to her credit.
