Multi-platinum artist and songwriter Dave Gahan, who is a member of the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," will release a new album with his longtime musical partner Soulsavers (Rich Machin) on November 12, 2021. Entitled "Imposter," they will take listeners on a very personal journey. The twelve carefully selected and reinterpreted songs span a variety of genres and time periods, including songs by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, PJ Harvey, Charlie Chaplin, Cat Power and Mark Lanegan. However, it would be a mistake to call the "Imposter" album a cover version. Rather, it is a representation of the songs that Dave Gahan & the Soulsavers have listened to, studied, absorbed and brought to new life. All of the songs have deep meaning for Dave, making "Imposter" a reflection of his life - a story told by others, but in his own distinctive voice. "When I hear other people's voices and songs - and especially the way they sing them and interpret the words - I feel at home," admits Dave Gahan. "I identify with that. That more than anything else puts me at ease. There's not a single artist on the record that doesn't touch me." He adds: "I know we've created something special, and I hope other people feel that and that it takes them on a little journey - especially those who love music and have loved it for years."
