Amy Macdonald: A Curious Thing version on CD in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Melodramatic Records in cooperation with Mercury Music Group on 31. August 2023.
Singer Amy Macdonald is known to the general public mainly for her hits "This Is The Life" and "Mr. Rock And Roll", which she made her name with about two years ago. But this spring will bring the second album of this eye-catching Scot. With her outstanding debut album "This Is The Life", Amy Macdonald has set the bar very high for a new album, as she has achieved multi-platinum status in twelve countries and has sold more than three million copies of this album. So she started writing new songs well in advance, at the beginning of last year. She recorded the subsequent demos in her bedroom, but headed out of the bustling civilization for the final recording of the album. The recording of the album, which has been dubbed "A Curious Thing", took place at the famous Black Barn Studios, in the county of Surrey, located in the South East of England. These famous studios are owned by another outstanding musician - Paul Weller, who also guested on the album with great gusto. Amy released the first swallow into the world during January and it became the raucous song "Don't Tell Me That It's Over". We'll find out what the full Amy Macdonald production sounds like in March when her new album is released. Before that happens, however, Amy will be able to present the album to the public at a few special concerts. These will take place on the first days of March in London, Glasgow, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin and Madrid.
Album spans genres Rock, Pop, Pop Rock and Soft Rock.
