The Razors Edge is the twelfth studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC , released on 24 September 1990. It was the band's first album with singer Brian Johnson, who replaced Bon Scott after his death in February 1980. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn, The Razors Edge reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and number four on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album was certified six times platinum by the RIAA and sold over six million copies worldwide. The album spawned four singles: "The Razors Edge" received positive reviews from music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic called it "a return to basics" and "the best AC/DC album since Back in Black". In his review for Rolling Stone magazine, David Fricke said, "The Razors Edge is a hard-rocking triumph, the sound of a band rebuilding itself after the death of its most charismatic singer."
