On December 4, 2010, the Norwegian pop group par excellence, which broke into the public consciousness 25 years ago with a video that is still sensational today, said goodbye with a concert in Oslo. The clip for the single "Take On Me", in which singer Morten Harket oscillates between comics and reality with his then-girlfriend Bunty Bailey, was voted one of the ten best music videos of all time by MTV viewers. The following hit "The Sun Always Shines On TV" also graced the debut album "Hunting High & Low". 1990 saw the release of "East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon", named after the jazz standard, which not only proved that the band could deliver flawless pop, but also introduced their first cover version of "Crying In The Rain" (Everly Brothers). After the band temporarily broke up, a-ha were able to celebrate a major comeback in 2000 with "Minor Earth, Major Sky" - which went to number one in Germany - and with the anthemic, heavenly "Summer Moved On" they proved that their instinct for hit singles was unbreakable.
