The label was started in December 1976 by Mel Cheren & Ed Kushins. The legendary Paradise Garage DJ Larry Levan worked closely with the label helping them to create their sound. The label was reactivated in summer of 1998, then reduced their web-presence after Mel Cheren's passing on December 7, 2007. The once-again re-activated label now has a website again and seems to be back in business.
