Sexy Groovy Rhythms

Sexy Groovy Rhythms is a brand born in 2003 with the album "Go Up!" by Mike Painter & The Family Shakers, in order to promote the releases of the italian Hammond organ player, and is represented by Mike himself (music) and by Flavio "Cpt.Stax" Candiani (operations, marketing). Trivia : the name is a quote of the title track lyrics written and sung by special guest Claudio Falcone. Since then SGR has been regularly adopted for all Mike Painter's releases, also as "artisan" Italian distributor for the 1st album by Players (Mick Talbot, Steve White, Damon Minchella), and for The Mads, as executive co-producer in conjunction with the label Area Pirata. Mike Painter's records have the progressive SGR cat #, from SGR 001 onwards and are currently distributed by Self Distribuzione, while the Area Pirata numbering is maintained for all The Mads records.
