MZA Music

MZA Music is a small music publisher in Brazil, a label whose main goal is to discover new and alternative artists. It was under this label Chico César gained popularity. According to their site, MZA Music, "the MPB's new home", was created at 1995 with the main goal to discover new artists and realize special projects linked to brazilian pop music (MPB - Música Popular Brasileira). It was when Marco Mazzola, record director and musical producer, decided to build his own label aiming to attend a new music segment who was growing without the deserved treatment. After sizteen years at Polygram - now Universal - Mazzola made big productions who rendered him as "The MPB Midas" (Tárik de Souza, Jornal do Brasil) and "The Golden Ears" (Revista Isto É), besides other nominations.
