Vienna based label for Austrian independent releases, started to be active in 2000. Their name is typically written in small letters "monkey." as seen in their logo. In 2016 monkey. merged with their publishing company Monkey.Moods Verlags GmbH, both located in Vienna, Austria. They now operate under this name. Sublabels include mad.monkey, digital.monkey and Schallter. Schallter has been "reanimated" in 2014. The label is focused on Austrian bands and artists and does also provide compilations on Austrian music as the "Wien.Musik"-compilations. The label is also performing promotion, book publishing and live entertainment action.
