Garden Records opened its doors in 1994 Birmingham UK. It was originally a musical Kibbutz started by several musicians from all over the UK as a means to release their own work. Later it fell to just one or two individuals and also took on reissues from the 70's. The label to date has 21 official releases also with several very limited promo issues. Most of the catalogue was produced in limited pressings and as a result most are out of print and now very rare. The most successful artists on the label were Heronimus Fin, the label hit its peak when BMG took on its UK distribution with Chrysalis taking care of the rest of the world. It has always served as an independent and still does today! Today distribution is handled by Code7 & Clear Spot
