The Hollies are a British rock group best known for their pioneering and distinctive three-part vocal harmony style. Formed in Manchester in the early 1960s, they became one of the leading British groups of the era. The band's classic lineup featured Allan Clarke on lead vocals, Graham Nash as a guitarist and vocalist, Tony Hicks on lead guitar and vocals, Bobby Elliott on drums, and Bernie Calvert on bass guitar. They achieved considerable success both in the UK and internationally with hits like "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother," "The Air That I Breathe," and "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress." The Hollies were part of the British Invasion, riding the wave of popularity alongside bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
