80s British Pop Singer and Former Kajagoogoo Frontman

Limahl is an English pop singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the 1980s synthpop band Kajagoogoo before embarking on a solo career. Born Christopher Hamill on December 19, 1958, in Wigan, Lancashire, he adopted his stage name by anagramming his surname. Limahl gained prominence with Kajagoogoo's hit single "Too Shy," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1983. After being fired from the band later that year, he pursued a solo career and achieved success with the song "The NeverEnding Story," which was the theme song for the eponymous film and became a hit in several countries.
