He is best known for his 1994 hit single "Here Comes the Hotstepper," which topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and became a global phenomenon. Kamoze's self-titled debut album "Ini Kamoze" was released in 1984 and included the hit single "World-A-Music," which later became famous as the underlying rhythm for Damian Marley's song "Welcome to Jamrock." His music is characterized by his distinctive voice and a style that blends elements of roots reggae with dancehall. Over the years, Ini Kamoze has released several albums and remains a respected figure in the reggae music community for his contributions to the genre.
