Hoobastank is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1994. The band's lineup consists of lead vocalist Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estrin, drummer Chris Hesse, and bassist Jesse Charland. They gained international fame with their hit single "The Reason" from the album of the same name released in 2003. The song became a massive hit worldwide and earned the band several award nominations. Hoobastank's music is often categorized as post-grunge or alternative rock, and they have released multiple albums throughout their career. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2001 and set the stage for their later success. Following "The Reason," the band continued to produce music and tour, releasing subsequent albums such as "Every Man for Himself" in 2006 and "For(N)ever" in 2009. In 2018, they released their latest album "Push Pull," showcasing a more funk and pop-influenced sound. Throughout their career, Hoobastank has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to perform live shows around the world.
