Gary U.S. Bonds

Gary U.S. Bonds

Veteran Rock and Roll and R&B Singer

Gary U.S. Bonds is an American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer, known for his classic hits in the early 1960s. Born Gary Levone Anderson on June 6, 1939, he adopted the stage name "U.S. Bonds" as a marketing strategy when his music was first released. His career took off with the release of "New Orleans," which became a top-10 hit. However, he is best known for his hit "Quarter to Three," a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1961. This song was a part of his first album "Dance 'Til Quarter To Three," which showcased his energetic performance style and contributed to the dance craze of the era.
