Influential Hip-Hop Trio from the 90s

The Fugees were a critically acclaimed American hip hop group that rose to fame in the mid-1990s. Comprised of members Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel, the trio was known for their unique blend of hip hop, soul, and Caribbean music influences. They first emerged on the music scene with their debut album "Blunted on Reality" in 1994, which gained them some attention but it was their sophomore album "The Score" (1996) that catapulted them to international stardom. "The Score" was a massive commercial success and received widespread critical acclaim for its innovative sound and socially conscious lyrics. It featured hit singles such as "Killing Me Softly," "Ready or Not," and "Fu-Gee-La," and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, with "Killing Me Softly" winning the award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
