Billy Vaughn was an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, orchestra leader, and A&R man for Dot Records. He was born on April 12, 1919, in Glasgow, Kentucky, and passed away on September 26, 1991. Vaughn played a key role in the post-World War II Western pop music scene with his orchestra. His ensemble was known for its unique twin-saxophone lead, which became a distinctive feature of his recordings.
