Jazz Organ Pioneer

Wild Bill Davis was an American jazz pianist, organist, and arranger known for his pioneering work on the Hammond B3 organ. Born William Strethen Davis on November 24, 1918, in Glasgow, Missouri, he initially played guitar and piano before focusing on the organ. His career took off in the 1940s when he joined Milt Larkin's band, which included future jazz stars like Arnett Cobb and Illinois Jacquet.
