British Hard Rock Band

Warhorse was a British rock band formed in the early 1970s. The group was known for its heavy rock sound, which was somewhat akin to that of Deep Purple, a connection reinforced by the fact that Warhorse's bassist, Nick Simper, was a founding member of Deep Purple. Warhorse released their self-titled debut album "Warhorse" in 1970, which showcased their blend of hard rock and progressive elements. Following this, they released their second album "Red Sea" in 1972. Despite the promise shown on these albums and a number of singles, Warhorse did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded in the mid-1970s. Their music has since gained a cult following and is appreciated for its place in the early development of the hard rock and heavy metal genres.
