Vincenzo Righini

Italian Classical Composer and Opera Singer

Vincenzo Righini (1756–1812) was an Italian composer, singer, and vocal teacher who was a significant figure in the classical music era. Born in Bologna, he was a contemporary of Mozart and is known for his operatic works, which were quite popular in their time. Righini's career took him across Europe; he worked in various cities including Vienna, where he succeeded Salieri as the court composer, and Berlin, where he served as the Kapellmeister at the court of King Frederick William II of Prussia.
