Vassily Sinaisky

Russian Conductor and Music Director

Vassily Sinaisky is a distinguished Russian conductor known for his extensive work with orchestras around the world. Born on April 20, 1947, in Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod), Russia, he studied conducting at the Leningrad Conservatory with Ilya Musin, a renowned teacher who also mentored other prominent conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Semyon Bychkov. Sinaisky's career has seen him serve as the Music Director of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chief Conductor of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. He has also held positions with the Russian State Orchestra and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in Sweden.
