Uncle Louie

Uncle Louie

Uncle Louie was a funk group active during the late 1970s. The band was formed by two key members: Walter Murphy, known for his hit "A Fifth of Beethoven," and Tony Bongiovi, a producer and engineer who is also a cousin of Jon Bon Jovi. Uncle Louie released the album "Uncle Louie's Here" in 1979, which featured the single "I Like Funky Music." The track gained some popularity and reflected the funk sound that was prevalent at the time. Despite their brief period of activity, Uncle Louie contributed to the rich tapestry of funk music during its heyday. Their work is remembered by enthusiasts of the genre for its classic funk rhythms and grooves.
