Tommy Stinson

Tommy Stinson

Former Bassist of The Replacements and Guns N Roses Member

Tommy Stinson is best known as the bassist for the influential rock band The Replacements, which was formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1979. Stinson was remarkably young when he joined the band, being only 13 years old at the time. The Replacements gained a reputation for their chaotic live shows and heartfelt songwriting, blending punk rock with a more melodic, heartland rock sound. After The Replacements disbanded in 1991, Stinson went on to play with various other acts, including Soul Asylum and Guns N' Roses. In addition to his work as a bassist, Tommy Stinson has also pursued a solo career, releasing albums such as "Village Gorilla Head" in 2004 and "One Man Mutiny" in 2011. His work has been characterized by his distinct bass playing and his ability to cross genres while maintaining a unique rock sensibility.
