The Prisoners

The Prisoners

British Garage Rock Band

The Prisoners were a British garage rock band formed in 1980 in Rochester, Kent, England. The group was part of the Medway scene and is associated with other bands from the same era and locality such as The Milkshakes and Thee Mighty Caesars. The band's classic lineup consisted of Graham Day (vocals, guitar), James Taylor (organ), Allan Crockford (bass), and Johnny Symons (drums). They were known for their high-energy performances and a distinctive sound that combined elements of 1960s garage rock with R&B, psychedelia, and mod influences.
