The Outsiders were a punk rock band from the United Kingdom, notable for being one of the pioneering bands in the UK punk scene. Formed in 1976 in Wimbledon, London, by Adrian Borland, Bob Lawrence, and Adrian Janes, The Outsiders are often recognized for their raw sound and DIY ethic. Adrian Borland was the driving force behind the band, serving as the lead vocalist and guitarist. The band's debut album "Calling On Youth" was self-released on their own Raw Edge label in 1977, making it one of the first self-released punk albums in the UK. They followed up with "Close Up" in 1978 and "Count For Something" in their later years.
