The Muldoons

The Muldoons

The Muldoons first met as students in the 90s and played in various line-ups of The Muldoons and The Church Grims. In 2017 The Muldoons got together for a supposed one-off hometown show at Paisley’s Bungalow and the show sold out almost immediately. Energised by the reaction, The Muldoons began working on new material and were quickly snapped up for shows around Central Scotland. Debut single, Lovely Things, was released in 2018 on the band’s own BeSquare Records. Characterised by its optimistic, high tempo and jangly guitars, the release was warmly received and gained extensive radio play within the UK and across Europe and the US. Sell out shows at Glasgow’s King Tut’s and O2 ABC soon followed, as well as a hometown return in front of 700 people at the Paisley Indie Festival. In 2019, The Muldoons released their sophomore single: Don’t Be Like That, Girl, supported by a reimagining of Echo & The Bunnymen’s The Killing Moon. Both tracks received strong praise and radio play and the band continued to grow in stature throughout 2019 culminating in a sold-out show at Glasgow’s Oran Mor. In early 2020, The Muldoons announced the release of their debut LP, Made For Each Other via Glasgow-based indie label Last Night From Glasgow. Recorded at Studio 1790 in Cumbernauld, Made For Each Other is an indie-music lover’s dream of jangly guitars, trumpets, sweet melodies and stories about growing up, getting drunk and falling in and out of love every week
