The Mommyheads

The Mommyheads are an American indie pop band that originated in the late 1980s. Founded by Adam Elk (formerly Adam Cohen), the group initially gained traction in the New York City underground music scene. Their music is characterized by its inventive melodies, complex arrangements, and introspective lyrics. Throughout the 1990s, The Mommyheads released several albums and EPs, building a dedicated following with their sophisticated pop sound. They signed with Geffen Records and released the album "Bingham's Hole" in 1995. However, after their major-label debut "The Mommyheads" in 1997, the band disbanded in 1998.
