The Mob

The Mob

The Mob was a British anarcho-punk band that formed in the late 1970s. Emerging from the UK's DIY punk scene, they were associated with the anarcho-punk movement and the Crass Records label. The band was known for their blend of punk rock with elements of post-punk and gothic rock, as well as their politically charged lyrics that often addressed themes of pacifism and anti-authoritarianism. The Mob released several singles and EPs during their initial run, with "Let The Tribe Increase" being one of their most notable works. This album, released in 1983, is often cited as a classic in the anarcho-punk genre. The band's career was relatively short-lived; they disbanded in the mid-1980s but left a lasting impact on the punk scene with their distinct sound and message.
