The Good, The Bad & The Queen

The Good, The Bad & The Queen

British alternative rock supergroup

The Good, The Bad & The Queen is a British alternative rock supergroup formed in 2006. The band consists of Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz, Paul Simonon of The Clash, Simon Tong of The Verve, and Nigerian drummer Tony Allen, who was a member of Fela Kuti's band Africa '70. Their self-titled debut album "The Good, The Bad & The Queen" was released in January 2007 to critical acclaim, with its sound characterized by a mix of alternative rock and Britpop, infused with electronic and world music influences. After a long hiatus, the group reunited to release their second studio album "Merrie Land" in 2018. This album continued their exploration of British themes and sounds, reflecting on the changing landscape of the UK in the context of Brexit. Despite their limited discography, the supergroup has been praised for its members' musicianship and innovative approach to music.
