The Dramatics

The Dramatics

Iconic R&B/Soul Vocal Group

The Dramatics are an American soul music vocal group, formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1962. They are best known for their 1970s hit songs "In the Rain" and "Whatcha See is Whatcha Get," both of which were Top 10 Pop and #1 R&B hits. The group's original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Wee Gee Howard, Ron Banks, William "Wee Gee" Howard, Elbert Wilkins, Willie Ford and Larry Demps. The Dramatics' distinctive blend of smooth vocal harmonies and dramatic stage presence made them a significant force in the R&B genre.
