The Belmonts are an American doo-wop group that originated in the Bronx, New York, in the late 1950s. The group was formed by Angelo D'Aleo, Carlo Mastrangelo, and Fred Milano, and they were later joined by Dion DiMucci. They are best known for their work with Dion as Dion and The Belmonts, with hits like "I Wonder Why" and "A Teenager in Love." After Dion left the group in 1960 to pursue a solo career, The Belmonts continued to record and perform. They released several albums throughout the 1960s and beyond, showcasing their tight harmonies and incorporating various musical styles including rock 'n' roll, R&B, and pop.
