The Beau Brummels

The Beau Brummels

1960s American Folk-Rock Pioneers

The Beau Brummels were an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1964. The original lineup consisted of Sal Valentino (lead vocals), Ron Elliott (lead guitar, principal songwriter), Ron Meagher (bass), Declan Mulligan (rhythm guitar), and John Petersen (drums). They are often credited with being one of the first bands to pioneer the folk rock and country rock genres, predating even more widely known acts like The Byrds.
