The Artwoods

The Artwoods

British R&B and blues band

The Artwoods were a British rock and rhythm & blues band active during the mid-1960s. Fronted by Art Wood, the older brother of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, the band also included guitarist Derek Griffiths, keyboardist Jon Lord, who later co-founded Deep Purple, bassist Malcolm Pool, and drummer Keef Hartley. Despite their musical talent and the presence of future stars, The Artwoods struggled to achieve commercial success during their time together.
