American Soprano and Mozart Specialist

Teresa Stich-Randall was an American soprano who gained prominence in the mid-20th century for her performances in both opera and concert. Born on December 24, 1927, in West Hartford, Connecticut, she was known for her pure and clear voice as well as her musical intelligence. Stich-Randall made her European debut in 1951 at the Aix-en-Provence Festival which marked the beginning of her successful career in Europe. She became particularly associated with Mozart roles and was admired for her interpretations of his works.
