Tall Tall Trees is the musical project of multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer Mike Savino. Known for his innovative approach to the banjo, Savino has expanded the boundaries of the instrument, often incorporating various electronic effects and looping techniques. His music blends elements of folk, psychedelia, and experimental indie rock. Tall Tall Trees emerged in the indie music scene with a self-titled debut album in 2009, followed by "Moment" in 2012. Savino's project gained further recognition with subsequent albums such as "Freedays" and "A Wave Of Golden Things," which showcase his evolving sound and songwriting skills. Throughout his career, Savino has toured extensively, both as a solo act and as a collaborator with other artists such as Kishi Bashi. His live performances are known for their creativity and engaging nature, often featuring visually striking elements and a dynamic use of his modified banjo.
