Sweet Smoke was a psychedelic jazz-rock band that formed in the late 1960s. The band was originally composed of American musicians who met in Brooklyn, New York, but they later moved to Europe where they found a more receptive audience for their music. Sweet Smoke is known for their experimental approach to music, blending elements of jazz, rock, and Eastern influences into their sound. They released their debut album "Just a Poke" in 1970, which showcased their improvisational style and complex musical arrangements. The follow-up album "Darkness to Light" came out in 1973 and continued to build on their unique sound. Despite not achieving mainstream success, Sweet Smoke developed a cult following and is remembered for their contribution to the progressive and psychedelic music scenes of the era.
