Sugar Ray is an American rock band that formed in 1986. The band originally comprised lead vocalist Mark McGrath, guitarist Rodney Sheppard, bassist Murphy Karges, drummer Stan Frazier, and DJ Homicide (Craig Bullock), who was later replaced by DJ Albie. They first gained fame in 1997 with their breakthrough hit song "Fly," which was included on their second album "Floored" and became a defining track of the late '90s alternative rock scene. The success of "Fly" helped the album achieve double platinum status.
