Steelhouse Lane was a melodic hard rock band formed in the late 1990s by guitarist and songwriter Mike Slamer. The band released two albums, "Metallic Blue" in 1998 and "...Slaves Of The New World..." in 1999. Mike Slamer, known for his work with bands like Streets and City Boy, was the driving force behind Steelhouse Lane, providing much of the songwriting and production expertise. The band's music was characterized by its melodic hooks, polished production, and strong vocals. Despite the quality of their work and the pedigree of its members, Steelhouse Lane did not achieve significant commercial success and remains a lesser-known act among the plethora of rock bands from that era. Their albums are often appreciated by fans of the AOR (Album-Oriented Rock) and melodic rock genres for their craftsmanship and attention to detail in songwriting and production.
