Spirit

Spirit was an American rock band that first found success in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The group was formed in Los Angeles in 1967 and originally consisted of vocalist Jay Ferguson, bassist Mark Andes, drummer Ed Cassidy, keyboardist John Locke, and guitarist Randy California, who was known for his distinctive playing style. They were known for blending different musical genres, including rock, jazz, blues, and psychedelic influences. Their self-titled debut album "Spirit" was released in 1968 and included the hit single "I Got a Line on You". The band's music was characterized by its adventurous arrangements and the use of unconventional instruments.
