British Folk Duo

Spiers & Boden are an English folk duo comprising John Spiers (melodeon, concertina) and Jon Boden (fiddle, vocals). They formed in 2001 and quickly became one of the leading acts in the UK folk revival, known for their energetic performances and innovative interpretations of traditional English folk tunes and songs. The duo has released several albums, earning acclaim for their musicianship and contribution to the genre. In addition to their work as a duo, both Spiers and Boden have been involved in other successful projects; notably, Jon Boden was the lead singer of the larger ensemble Bellowhead. Spiers & Boden have been recognized with awards from organizations such as the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. After a period of focusing on individual projects, they reunited to produce new music and perform together again.
