Shakin' Street

Shakin' Street

Shakin' Street is a French hard rock band that was formed in the late 1970s. They were part of the music scene that brought a blend of rock and roll, punk, and heavy metal to audiences in France and beyond. The band was led by vocalist Fabienne Shine and included guitarist Ross Friedman, also known as Ross the Boss from his time with the proto-punk band The Dictators. Shakin' Street's self-titled debut album was released in 1978, which helped them gain a following in Europe. They achieved greater exposure when they signed with CBS Records and released their second album, "Solid as a Rock," in 1980. The band toured with famous acts such as Black Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult, which helped to increase their international profile. Despite their initial success and the potential for growth, Shakin' Street disbanded in the early 1980s but left a mark on the French rock scene with their energetic performances and blend of musical styles.
