Ronnie Lane

Ronnie Lane

British Rock and Roll Singer-Songwriter

Ronnie Lane was an English musician, songwriter, and producer best known as the bass guitarist and founding member of two prominent English rock bands: Small Faces and later Faces. Born on April 1, 1946, in Plaistow, Essex, England, Lane was instrumental in the mod movement and British rock scene of the 1960s and early 1970s. With Small Faces, he enjoyed success with hits like "Itchycoo Park" and "All or Nothing." After the group disbanded in 1969, he joined forces with Rod Stewart and Ron Wood to form Faces, which achieved further acclaim with songs such as "Stay with Me."
