Robert Stankovsky

Robert Stankovsky

Slovak Conductor and Classical Musician

Robert Stankovsky was a Slovak conductor known for his work with various orchestras and his recordings of classical music. Born on September 26, 1964, in Bratislava, Slovakia, he developed a reputation for his interpretations of a wide range of repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary works. Stankovsky served as the chief conductor of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra (SRSO) and was also associated with the Cappella Istropolitana chamber orchestra. His career was marked by collaborations with numerous orchestras across Europe and recordings that have been appreciated for their clarity and depth. Tragically, Stankovsky's promising career was cut short when he passed away at the young age of 34 on April 11, 1998. His legacy continues through the recordings he left behind, which serve as a testament to his skill and musical insight.
