Following the dissolution of Beardfish, Sjöblom continued to make music under the moniker Rikard Sjöblom's Gungfly. The project allows him to explore a diverse range of musical styles, often blending elements of progressive rock, jazz, and folk. Sjöblom's proficiency in various instruments and his distinctive voice have earned him recognition in the progressive rock community. The album "Friendship" followed in 2018, further solidifying his reputation as a solo artist. In 2020, he released "Alone Together," continuing his exploration of complex musical arrangements and introspective lyrics.
